Boeing has just announced on its social media handles the debut date for the long-awaited Boeing New Generation B777X. Expected roll-out date out of their Everett Facility in Seattle is 13th March 2019.
According to the Plane manufacturers, this Aircraft will come in the largest capacity of the B777 family and will be able to carry between 400 and 425 passengers in a two class cabin. This Jet has the capability to cover a range of 7,600 nm (14,075km). The B777X will also be the longest of all Boeing Aircrafts with a length of 252ft (77m).
According to Boeing, this will make this Aircraft the Largest and most efficient twin engine in the market. They also assure Airlines looking at purchasing this Aircraft a 12% lower fuel consumption and a 10% lower operating cost than other Aircrafts in its category.
According to Willie Walsh, IAG chief executive. “This aircraft will provide further cost efficiencies and environmental benefits with fuel cost per seat improvements of 30 per cent compared to the 747. It also provides an enhanced passenger experience”.
British Airways has already ordered 42 of these Aircrafts which will replace its 747 quad-engines Fleet, bringing its total orders to 358 and commitments from eight global customers.
The Boeing 777-9 is expected to enter service in 2020, according to the company.
